A competition for Eurovision fans who write and record their own music
Participant | Tero Aalto |
Song title | Antediluvian Anthem |
Composer | Tero Aalto |
Lyricist | Tero Aalto |
Performer | Snowclone |
Biography | Snowclone is a Finnish band that makes Nordic pop music. The band's trademark is combining opposing sentiments: most of Snowclone's songs are happy and sad at the same time.
This is Snowclone's third (and Tero's fourth) participation in HCSC. "Antediluvian Anthem" is, once again, a different kind of song. It marks Snowclone's comeback and is the first single from the band's forthcoming third album "Crash Blossom". The song tries to capture the solemnity of a national anthem, but it's not associated with any specific country, at least not one in this world we live in. The message is that by finding your own strengths and with the help of your friends, you can overcome any obstacle. No matter how many times you fall, you will rise again in the end. Lyrics | We don't need much in this northern land We have everything we want We have hope that leads us through the dark We have strength, we have joy We have trees that reach to touch the sky We have mountains higher still We have fields of gold that keep us fed We have time and room to grow We will fall, we will rise Nothing can keep us down We will cry, we will sing An anthem for life We will fall, we will rise We will come back for more We will die, we will live One moment in time So hold my hand We will take our stand We will fall, we will rise If you doubt in time your wounds will heal If you doubt you'll make it through If you lose your faith in everything Take my hand and sing with me We will fall, we will rise Nothing can keep us down We will cry, we will sing An anthem for life We will fall, we will rise We will come back for more We will die, we will live One moment in time So hold my hand We will take our stand We will fall, we will rise |
